What is Imagen
Imagen AI is a text-to-image diffusion model created by Google. As a text-to-image generator, it belongs to the same class of AI models as other popular models such as DALL-E 2, Dream by Wombo, and Stable Diffusion.
Imagen AI has been made available to the public through the AI Test Kitchen app, a platform where Google tests various AI projects before releasing them to the general public. The Imagen AI model has been trained on a dataset known as LAION-400M. This information is publicly available, which is not always the case for other AI companies, such as DALL-E 2. However, the use of datasets for training AI models has recently become a topic of controversy. This is mainly due to the practice of scraping millions of images from the internet without obtaining explicit consent from the image or artwork owners. As a result, some artists have criticized AI companies for their lack of ethical considerations.
In conclusion, Imagen AI is a text-to-image diffusion model developed by Google that uses the LAION-400M dataset for training. It has been released to the public through the AI Test Kitchen app, which is a platform used by Google to test various AI projects before they are released to the general public.
